London, Computer Science Department of the University College of London, November 14, 2003
The first realization of the Museum of Pure Form within a CAVE-like environment was performed at Computer Science Department of the University College of London on 14 November 2003.
Visitors were able to navigate through the simulated museum, select a specific sculpture and interact with it. The interaction with the selected sculptures was obtained through the sight, using the CAVE system, and the haptic sense, using a force-feedback exoskeleton for the arm.
The realism of the virtual simulation was extremely high, giving users the real feeling of touching the surface being visualized and placed in the space under their own hands.

Pisa, Museo dell’Opera del Duomo, September 23, 2003
On September 26, 2003, on the occasion of the conference on High technology in the management of “Miracle Square” (September 26, 2003) held at Opera Museum OPAE a new multimedia room within the museum hosting the Museum of Pure Form was opened to the public. Visitors entering in the room are immersed in a quiet atmosphere, with suffused lights and soft music. On one wall of the room a stereoscopic 3D projection of a virtual environment is presented to the visitor, that is free to interact with the contents of the environment through the haptic interface system standing in front of the wall. An audio narration explains the visitor historical notes and details about the works on display. The room is currently open to the visitors of the museum.
