	Thanks to the adhesion to the project of the "Museo dell'Opera del Duomo di Pisa" which has provided some meaningful sculptures of the medioeval period, the haptic models of the following sculpture are currently under development: • Salomè (Giovanni Pisano) • Madonna with Child (Nicola Pisano • Saint john the baptist (Nicola and Giovanni Pisano) • Erode plaque (Plaster Copy)

At the moment the post processing of the acquired data has been completed for all the digitized scultpures. Sstarting from the point clouds acquired, the polygonal models of the sculptures have been obtained, simplified and optimized for graphics and haptic rendering.

As a result of the data elaboration it is expected that sculptural models at a variable resolution will be obtained. For example, the sculpture of the Madonna con Bambino by Giovanni Pisano will be able to be visualised and successively treated in the virtual environment at a resolution from 10.000 to 1 million of polygons.
